Meet Our Board Members

Tatia is one of the Co-Founders of RK. Currently, the Lead Epidemiologist with the State of Washington. So, the concept of RK started around her kitchen table on how we can assist failing schools and uplift reading score levels that directly impact black and brown communities. Over time, she realized not only are marginalized communities dealing with low reading scores and illiteracy; children are trying to survive and stay alive against the on-slaught of urban gun violence. Her outreach priorities shifted to sensitizing and educating the community on toxic stress and holistic therapy methods as a form of prevention and intervention.     

Her career as an Epidemiologist was focal during the heightened pandemic, Tatia was a public health advisor for Homeland Security screening passengers for COVI-19 and other infectious diseases. Became a part of a research study group on COVID-19 long-haulers. She was the subject matter expert with the State of North Dakota in preventing day care outbreaks during the COVID-19 pandemic. Tatia's dedication and knowledge was honored from the Centers for Disease Control Foundation for the Corps Salute. Tatia has spent many years advocating and spearheading programs for behavior and mental health, while being a Program Manager for the GEMS and P2K behavior health minority programs.  

 Bill Hall is a Washingtonian and a 25-year veteran of the federal technology sector. His experience spans the Department of Defense (DoD), federal civil agencies, and various consumer technology startups. Bill’s background includes multiple projects, from mission-critical systems to classified operations to enterprise solutions. Bill has hands-on experience supporting entire lifecycle projects.  As a senior technology executive, Bill applies his knowledge of contemporary software development practices, trends in technology, cyber security, and IT resource management.

Eric Lopez is a naturalized American citizen from Dakar Senegal. He is a public-school teacher and believes that it takes a whole village to ensure the future of a healthy community. He is a community activist who uses his past and present privilege to pay back when he sees a need.

Robert Green, B.S.

Worked many years with intensive interaction with fathers that participated in the “Dads Making a Difference” program. I interviewed fathers in their home, and at the agency. These fathers were experiencing a wide range of issues for example, paternal depression, child custody court proceedings, drug abuse, felony expungement, lack of life skills anxiety, lack of parenting skills, co-parenting anxiety, unemployment, and health issues. I presented suggestions and recommendations to fathers that enabled them to develop plans and/or strategies to address their multitude of problems and issues.

  Michael Hughes, PhD

 Dr. Michael S Hughes a is a native of Washington DC, presently living in Maryland. Having grown up in Washington he attended DC Public Schools for the majority of his primary and secondary education, graduating from Calvin Coolidge High School in 1977. He attended Bowie State University in Bowie, Maryland where he received a BA in Psychology. He later attended the University of the District of Columbia and received a MA in Clinical and Community Psychology. He then attended Howard University where he completed a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Educational Psychology. After completion of the certificate, he pursued a Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership at Bowie State University and completed it in the spring 2009. 

Dr. Hughes is a Licensed Psychotherapist, LCPC, and is a contractor with Community Counseling and Community Services, since 2015. For the past 20 years he has been Coordinator of Disability Support Services, an Academic Advisor, and has taught Freshmen Seminar at Bowie State University. As well he was an adjunct Professor at Bowie State University, where he taught Human Growth & Development and Psychodynamics of Psychopathology.
He has his own business as a psychotherapist, The Progressive Holistic Psychotherapeutic Institute. He is a member of the Association of Higher Education and Disability, where he was Co-Chair of the Racial Ethnic Disability and Diversity Special Interest Group.
